Establishing an extensive logistics chain during this period enabled us to discover and evaluate the finest leathers available in the market. It became evident that the knowledge and tradition of Italian tanneries, renowned for their unique tanning processes, were truly admirable. We couldn't help but acknowledge that the passion for leather in Italy has cultivated a culture of perfection, especially in the Tuscany region—a globally recognized hub for the vegetable tanning process, known for producing arguably the best vegetable-tanned leather in the world.
With a vision to produce a distinctive variety of leather, we initiated this project in 2021, harnessing over six years of expertise in the leather industry.
The beggining
Established in 2006, our company has a rich history in the leather industry. It all began when Andrew, our business manager, departed from the corporate world to create a leather goods company. Our journey started driven by a passion for innovation and a commitment to the concept of crafting goods Made in Britain.
Learning
Exploring the global market was a key step in understanding the diverse tastes of clients and their preferences for design and quality. Throughout this period, we discovered that, consumers are receptive to new leather designs and are willing to pay a fair price for a unique product.
We've discovered that Vaccheta leather, a Tuscany specific leather, stands out as our preferred choice for vegetable-tanned leather. The tanning process and oils used make this leather exceptionally manageable, meeting the demands of most artisans. With its medium-firm temper, it proves suitable for a variety of leather goods and artisan projects.
Edge burnish and skiving
Recognizing that edges play a crucial role in the final leather product, we consider vachetta leather the optimal choice for achieving sleek edges. Thanks to its specific oils and excellent fiber dispersion, vachetta leather stands out for creating slick polished edges. Its ease of skiving ensures that even beginners can achieve the best edges with minimal effort.
Coating
Collaborating with a skilled team of chemists specialised in the leather industry, we identified the optimal coating for our leather. This coating forms a medium-gloss, flexible layer that provides protection against light scratches and water drops for your product.

Since this project was started with artisans in mind, our distinctive leather is available in any thickness you require. Recognizing that many artisans may not have access to a splitting machine, we aim to offer a comprehensive solution for your business.Choose the thickness that suits your project, ranging from 0.8mm to 2.5mm in 0.1mm increments.
